I was slipping into the gray of life when you found me.
You were a colorful shade that allowed me to be brighter.
I was a fighter.
I always knew that beautiful things in life would come to find me.
I always knew that my Heavenly Father was just and kind,
that He would make things right.
Which side of heaven? Now I wasn't sure of that.
Even so, there you were.
Brighter than any star I'd ever seen,
and you looked at me.
You looked at me.
You saw my colors,
trapped inside of the gray,
and you washed it all away.
You made me smile again.
You reminded me of the warmth that was possible here on Earth.
I was so pleased that God would allow this during my time here on Earth.
I was so thankful that I could enjoy you, and that you enjoyed me.
That we could just... be.
"In Him, we live and move and have our being"
I am thankful that you know Him,
that you love Him.
